Dossier In Translation

Hello, dear friends and family!

It's been a bit longer than our weekly post updates. We have had so much going on! Sarah had surgery on July 15th and is recovering quite quickly and without any complications. Praise the Lord!

We are in the waiting period of the adoption. We received word 2 weeks ago that our Dossier was in translation. This means it's being translated from English to Chinese, and then will enter into a review process. We have not had any more recent updates since.

We are working on launching our Quilt Fundraiser soon. We are also Craigslisting-ing larger items from the Yard Sale, that didn't sell. We have completed a grant application and are near completion of our second grant request. Meanwhile, we are also finishing our last 2 adoption education courses. Keeping this going, while Jesse and I both tend to our professional licensure and education requirements, has meant we have not had nothing to do, in quite some time.  We still have just over $9,000 dollars to raise to be completely funded for bringing Kameron home! Which is a little less than 1/3 of the total costs to raise are left! God is good!

We have sent our quarterly request for more photos and updated questions to be answered regarding Kameron. We are starting to get his room ready. My mom was visiting us recently and helped put some things together for us.

We appreciate your continued prayers and support!

LID and Learning Chinese

We are so excited to announce that we received word from our adoption agency that we hit another adoption milestone!! We are at LID (Log in date)!! Essentially, this means that our Dossier (our adoption paperwork packet that was sent 2 weeks ago to China) has been entered into their system and is pending review. Once this is completed, they will issue a Letter of Approval, or LOA. This is the next milestone we are awaiting.

This was a HUGE answer to prayer, as it usually takes a month to reach this step. It took us less than 2 weeks. What is even MORE remarkable about this, as its been running SLOWER than usual lately. We needed things to move quickly. We needed to avoid additional delays.

With us needing to do an addendum to some of our paperwork in August to account for Jesse's recent lay off and my surgery later this month, it will delay us potentially a couple weeks. This just made up for that time, exactly! God is good!

The boys continue to get more and more excited. They can hardly wait to get Kameron home. They do their part, picking library books to learn more about China. We also stumbled across this gem on Amazon Prime: Little Pim: Chinese for Kids. They love learning Chinese words. Jesse Jay especially can't get enough.

I love how adoption has changed and shaped our family. It has taught the older boys so much about considering others needs above their own. We recently implemented an allowance for the older boys. And the first thing they said was, "Mom, we don't need an allowance. We want our monies to help bring Kameron home!" I love seeing these boys hearts for their brother.

In terms of fundraising, we have a couple new fundraisers we will be releasing soon. We are about $9,000 away from our fundraising goal, to be completely funded to Bring Kameron home! Which is a little less than 1/3 left from what we started with!

There are many ways you can help. We have a direct online funding page for those who wish to make a tax deductible donation. Click here to access our Adopt Together website. If you wish to mail us a donation directly (where 100% of funds are going straight towards Bringing Kameron home) feel free to message me.

Also, a big thank you for your prayers, words of encouragement, help with prior fundraisers, etc. You have all been so wonderful! It has been amazing to see others support for this calling to walk this journey.
