Dossier Passed Matching/Review

Today, we got WONDERFUL news from our adoption agency that we have passed the matching/review process of our Dossier. This is the final stage as we await China to issue LOA (Letter of Approval)!! Once we have this, we get to start planning our trip!

This news came after 6 weeks of hearing NO updates whatsoever. Today was a big day, as our middle son started Kindergarten as well. These adoption milestones seem to happen near big events like this. Our Dossier was sent to China on our 11th wedding anniversary :)

Now, it feels very REAL. Like, GOODNESS GRACIOUS, we are going to be going to China to bring our son home SOON! This sudden urgency to prepare for his arrival has now hit. I'm veraciously reading blogs of those who have gone before. Hoping to glean packing tips, advice, really any information to help us prepare for this big and exciting transition.

Our Quilt Giveaway Fundraiser continues for the next 2 weeks. We will be drawing a winner on Friday, September 4th in the evening. The winner gets this BEAUTIFUL quilt!

To enter, click this link.

A few local folks and family have asked if they can enter with a check/cash. If we know you, we have been able to work this out. We are sympathetic that some people are not internet savvy or don't wish to use the PayPal option. Just message us or email us at bringingkameronhome@gmail.com so we can make arrangements.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who continue to pray, support, and encourage our family!

Another Quarterly Kameron Update

Every three months, we get to send a list of up to 10 questions and a request for updated pictures of Kameron. We like to involve the boys in this and they love sitting around the table discussing Kameron's answers. They have really embraced this opportunity to learn more about him! We have had lots of giggles as we learn that Kameron is so much like Jesse Jay!

This time, not only did we get to learn more about him and receive a new batch of photos, but we got a video as well! It's a 6 second video in which he is speaking to us. Thanks to our fantastic adoption agency, we know now what he was telling us! We must have watched the video a hundred times each. Jesse Jay loves that Kameron, despite being double his age, is only 4 inches taller than him. Toby loves that his favorite animal is a goat. Noah likes looking at his pictures and calling him "Bubba!"

Many people ask where we are in the adoption progress. We are still awaiting our Dossier to be completed from "in translation" and move into the "review" process. Once they are done reviewing it, we hope, to receive Letter of Approval or LOA for short. Once we receive LOA, we start planning our trip to China! We hope to be traveling late Fall to adopt him and bring him home.

The hold up is that moving from "in translation" to "review," is currently taking a bit longer in China. Also, we cannot start expediting the process to move things forward more quickly, until after Jesse officially loses his job (not till the end of this month). So we are in a bit of a holding pattern. Jesse and I are completing all documents ahead of time, education hours, grant applications, etc that we can get done now. We are also, loving on these boys of ours as we prepare bringing Kameron home.

We also have launched our quilt give-away fundraiser to help raise the funds needed for the adoption. We have been donated a beautiful, extremely well made, queen sized quilt that is truly a piece of art. Each time I look at it, I find something new I love about it. For every $5 dollar donation made, you get a single entry. So if you donate 50 dollars, you get 10 entries. If you share the link on your Facebook, you get a single entry. We will be drawing a winner on September 4th, 2015 in the evening. The winner will have the quilt brought to them if they are local in Idaho. Otherwise it will be shipped to you. Follow the link if you are interested in helping us with our cause.

Thanks for the love, support, words of encouragement and prayers that continue to sustain us during this long waiting period of our adoption journey.
